What happens if the FFL goes out of business?
What GatSwap does when an FFL closes during an active trade.
If an FFL in your active trade closes before the transfer is complete, GatSwap's support team will coordinate with you to redirect your firearm to an alternative FFL.
When an FFL surrenders or loses their license, they must transfer all firearms in their possession to another FFL or return them to the shipper. GatSwap will reach out proactively if we're notified that a partner FFL's license has lapsed.
All GatSwap partner FFLs have their license status monitored monthly. If a license is within 60 days of expiration, they are removed from the active partner list until renewed.
