What do I need to bring to the FFL?
A checklist of what to bring when picking up a firearm at an FFL.
When you go to the FFL to pick up your firearm, bring:
- Your government-issued photo ID (the same one you used to verify on GatSwap)
- Your GatSwap trade confirmation number (available in the app)
- Any state-required permits (FOID for Illinois, pistol permit for NY, etc.)
- Payment for the FFL transfer fee (call ahead to confirm accepted methods)
You must be 21+ to receive a handgun from an FFL and 18+ for long guns. This is federal law and cannot be waived.
