What photos should I include?
Photo guidelines for GatSwap listings.
Good photos are the single most important factor in attracting trade proposals. Here's what to include:
- Left side profile (full firearm visible)
- Right side profile
- Close-up of the action/slide/bolt
- Close-up of the muzzle end
- Any cosmetic wear, scratches, or defects
- Magazines, accessories, or case if included
- Box and original papers if available
Photo tips
- Shoot in natural light or a well-lit room
- Use a neutral background (dark fabric works well)
- Make sure the firearm is unloaded before photographing
- Do not photograph the serial number — GatSwap collects this separately
GatSwap's AI moderation reviews all photos. Photos that appear to show a loaded or chambered firearm will be flagged for review.
