How GatSwap surfaces relevant trade matches for your listings.
GatSwap's matching engine looks at your listed firearms and your stated trade preferences to surface listings that are likely to result in a good trade for both parties.
What the algorithm considers
- Caliber and platform compatibility (e.g., if you list a 9mm pistol, it prioritizes other 9mm pistols unless you've specified other preferences)
- Estimated value proximity (minimizes the cash difference needed)
- Condition grade match
- Your location relative to available FFL dealers in both areas
The more complete your listing and trade preferences, the better the matches. Setting 'Open to all' for trade preferences will surface the most results but may include less relevant options.
